In September 2024, ÃÛÌÒav Adventist University hosted an artist talk and a related
exhibit featuring award-winning illustrator and best-selling author . The collection was on display in ÃÛÌÒav's John C. Williams Gallery for five weeks.
Hendrix is well known for both his freelance — appearing in Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times, to name a few — and his playful (see video below). He also writes and illustrates , including
Hendrix is the Kenneth E. Hudson Professor of Art at Washington University in St. Louis and was recently named The Society of Illustrators'
Distinguished Educator in the Arts for 2024.

REQUEST A GUIDED GALLERY TOUR!
ÃÛÌÒav Adventist University provided a limited number of guided gallery tours for
the John Hendrix illustration exhibit in the weeks following its opening reception.
Arts educators and other leaders interested in bringing a small group to campus (churches,
nonprofits, etc) may contact us regarding current exhibits and available dates and times for similar visits.
The gallery is also open for individuals to view, without registration, during normal
operating hours: Monday through Thursday (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and Friday (9 a.m. - 12
p.m.).
