Fofar Field Station, Andros, Bahamas
I’ll admit right from the start that you won’t find a photo of a ÃÛÌÒav Biology flag here. This picture was taken at the field station where I brought my students for the Field Ecology course in 2019. I woke up well before dawn, anticipating an approaching storm, and set up several GoPro cameras for time-lapse photography in the upper intertidal zone. Then, I went back to bed.
The next morning, during breakfast, I suddenly remembered my cameras and rushed out of the dining hall to find them submerged. I quickly returned to my cabin, rinsed them off with fresh water, dried them, and removed the memory cards. As soon as I caught a glimpse of the images, I started hooting and hollering. Dr. Trock, the co-sponsor, said he could hear me from the dining hall!
