During our mission trip we did VBS for the local kids and it was such a blessing to make connections with them. On this day, one of the girls told me that she "wished to be born in America and be white". I was speechless. This made me think about how much I am blessed and how life is easy compared with what these people go through... It also shifted my perspective on classes and how much these kids would love to have the opportunity to go to college. This mission trip was filled with more experiences on the medical side of things, but this conversation was definitely something that I will have in mind before complaining about school and the life I have in America.
