Nyack Marina/Pier

On March 21, 2025, my family and I walked the Nyack Pier and enjoyed our afternoon at the Village of Nyack Memorial State Park after having lunch in the nearby area.  The Nyack Marina is a public marina that is along the western shore of the Hudson River and has played an important role towards the Nyack Village's development beginning from the 19th century. It served initially as a navigational center for a burgeoning stone quarry industry and then as a transportation area for carrying passengers/freight between Nyack, Westchester, and New York City before the original Tappan Zee Bridge was built.  The bridge can be seen in the background of the photo.  The Tappan Zee Bridge was demolished and rebuilt starting in 2017, and it is now called the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.  The image captures Christine Choi holding the flag, and the photo was taken by Leah Choi.
