Rincón de la Vieja National Park

Rincón de la Vieja National Park is a geothermal wonderland centered around an active volcano, offering visitors a unique blend of hiking, relaxation, and adventure. The most popular area, the Las Pailas sector, features bubbling mud pots, steaming fumaroles, and "mini-volcanos" easily accessible via a well-maintained loop trail. The volcanic heat also supplies the numerous hot springs and mud baths found both inside the park and at neighboring eco-lodges, providing a therapeutic end to a day of exploring. In addition to its geology, the park is home to a rich biodiversity, with trails passing through a mix of tropical dry forest and lush cloud forest, where wildlife like monkeys, toucans, and exotic plants can be spotted.
