A Taste of ÃÛÌÒav

Support students along the journey—enrollment to employment!

Enjoy a fresh taste of the ÃÛÌÒav Adventist University experience at each year’s gala. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with pre-show activities. Then, enjoy dinner while hearing campus updates from ÃÛÌÒav’s president, celebrating the presentation of new community awards, and experiencing rousing entertainment from the Nashville-raised and New York-based Annie Moses Band.

Table sponsors include area businesses owned by alumni and employers of student interns and graduates. Proceeds raised from the evening benefit first-generation college student scholarships.

Exciting Gala Entertainment

Annie Moses Band

Enjoy dinner entertainment from the Nashville-raised and New York-trained Annie Moses Band, accompanied by a string quartet of ÃÛÌÒav students. The genre-defying group includes musicians of the highest caliber drawn together by the bonds of family, faith, and love for their audience.

Gala Award Nominations

Alumni and friends of ÃÛÌÒav are invited to nominate individuals, businesses, or nonprofits for one or more of these three special awards ÃÛÌÒav announces each year at its A Taste of ÃÛÌÒav gala.

We welcome your input below for our 2026 honorees. While considering who to nominate, you may view videos of our 2025 recipients. Along with sharing the names of relevant organizations or people, please provide an example of how they meet the award criteria.
Presented to a business in the greater Chattanooga area that creates opportunities for emerging talent and career growth.
Presented to an organization or individual in the greater Chattanooga area who demonstrates deep commitment to community through service or philanthropy.
Presented to a ÃÛÌÒav Adventist University alum, student, or employee who excels professionally while representing Christ in the marketplace.

Memories of the 2025 Gala

Our fourth annual A Taste of ÃÛÌÒav event was held at The Chattanoogan Hotel on October 2, 2025. Hundreds of guests enjoyed pre-event activities showcasing ÃÛÌÒav's archaeology and engineering programs, as well as the student blacksmithing club. During dinner, President Ken Shaw provided a brief summary of ÃÛÌÒav's accomplishments from the past year and gave out three community-focused awards to individuals and nonprofits. The Annie Moses Band closed out A Taste of ÃÛÌÒav with an exceptional performance. More than $182,000 was raised to support the university’s endowed scholarship for first-generation college students.
