Virtual Reality Headsets

McKee Library has two virtual reality (VR) headsets available for one week check out. These headsets are equipped with multiple games, including Beat Saber, YouTube VR, and Mission: ISS, allowing for an immersive virtual reality experience.  

By checking out the headset, the user agrees to abide by the VR guidelines.

Software
  • First Steps for Quest 2: This short experience shows the player the possibilities of the controllers and headset. The game features small activities that allows the player to practice using the headset and controllers.
  • Beat Saber: A fully immersive VR rhythm game. The game takes place in various surrealistic neon environments and features the player slicing blocks representing musical beats with their 鈥榖eat鈥� sabers.
  • YouTube VR: Watch both regular and specialized VR videos from YouTube. Specialized VR videos can be immersive and create intricate viewing environments for the viewer.
  • Adam Savage鈥檚 Tested VR: In this VR game you get to experience Adam Savage (MythBusters) and other incredible creators first-hand. In the workshop you get to explore each creator鈥檚 workshops or maker spaces to learn their processes and watch their builds.
  • Mission: ISS: Quest: In this simulation you get to explore the International Space Station. Through the VR set, you can learn to dock a space capsule, take a spacewalk, move and work in zero-gravity and much more.
