Description/Duties: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of our retail operations.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management.
- Upsell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns via phone.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while maintaining a safe shopping environment
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store environment.
Familiarity with basic math concepts for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
Ability to perform merchandising tasks, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
Experience in supervising staff is a plus, fostering teamwork within the store.
Proficient in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
